What someone chooses to wear says a lot about them. This is where the saying “walk a mile in someone else’s shoes” comes into play through many different forms. I’m very determined to help you guys get to know me to the best of my ability.

I put together three outfits straight from my closet, my mom’s, and my dad’s. There’s a different atmosphere around each outfit, and I think that’s my favourite part. I’m constantly growing and changing as a person, and my style truly resembles the ever-changing nature of who I am. My outfit each day depends on how I feel waking up, and how I want to feel during the day. I’m a firm believer that the wrong outfit can off-set a day, and vice versa.

If you’d like to read my fashion article that focuses on the clothes themselves, click here. It is so amazing to officially be a published online magazine author! Sending many thanks to the editor Rob and the amazing work that is put toward this site. There are many other beautiful posts written by the other #MTCGirls!

Onto my first outfit! This one I love because it has a very laid-back look, but at the same time it is chic. The boots add an amazing touch to it. With luck, I found a matching headband to my dad’s softball jersey. I love oversized clothes because they’re comfy and so in style right now.

I have many different oversized tops, but this one is my favourite for a pretty simple reason. Rachel Green from Friends is a huge style icon of mine, and this look just has a total ’90s vibe to it! If you would like to know where I got what, make sure to check out my fashion article. The link is above!

My second outfit is a bit more country, but what girl doesn’t feel cute rocking a tie-up shirt with cowboy boots? I took a peek in my momma’s closet for the boots (with her permission of course), and that’s when the endless outfit creations soared through my mind! I would have never dreamed of wearing cowboy boots and looking a little more western, but that just goes to show how much a person can change in their life, in a year, in a week even!

And guys, let’s take a second to be honest here… these shorts make anyone’s booty look bootyful (I really wanted to do that, not sorry about it)! Clothes that fit just right truly give a girl an extra bit of confidence. The store I got these shorts from will do just that, in fact all of their pants look good on everyone. Check out my article to see where I got them!

And last but certainly not least, my most beloved and prized possession: my Juicy Couture track suit. I love the effortless, casual, but at the same time glamorous look of these pieces. They really channel my inner London Tipton. My furry slides are also an all-time favourite, I have so many pairs in all different colours, you’d think I’m crazy. Furry slides go with anything but add a casual flare. These are also, once again, casual and glam. What can I say? I like to look like I just rolled out of bed, but a really nice bed in an expensive suite. Even though in reality I probably ended up sleeping on my couch since my room was too warm and then changed out of my humongous pyjama pants into my track suit.

Change is good. It’s refreshing, significant, and most importantly, it is inevitable. We change everyday, every second, and in some ways bigger than others. Miss Teenage Canada starts in 2 days, I can only imagine the growth I will endure while experiencing so many amazing things. I know it’s going to be a blast because guys, I have the cutest little outfits for pageant week and they are really going to make a difference in how my day is gonna go. You are in control of how things go for you, whether you realize it or not.

XOXO Madi
